Now Hiring: Grounds & Maintenance Crew – Augusta, ME
Hey there — we’re looking for someone who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty and help keep our outdoor areas looking great. This job is based in the Augusta State Complexes, and it’s all about taking care of the grounds, moving stuff when needed, and helping out with basic building upkeep.
What You'll Be Doing:
Cutting grass, raking leaves, shoveling snow, and keeping walkways and parking lots clean
Watering flowers, trimming bushes, and doing basic landscaping work
Helping move office furniture and equipment (desks, chairs, boxes — that kind of thing)
Assisting maintenance folks with odd jobs in and around the buildings
Just generally being a go-to person for outdoor and light indoor tasks
What We’re Looking For:
You’ve used lawnmowers, rakes, shovels, maybe a snowblower — or you're willing to learn
You don’t mind lifting and moving heavy stuff now and then
You’ve got a decent sense of how to take care of plants or at least follow instructions
You show up on time, you’re reliable, and you don’t mind working outdoors in all kinds of weather
No fancy degree or experience needed — just a good attitude and willingness to work
Pay & Perks:
Pay: $15.00 to $18.06 per hour
